Ringkøbing-Skjern Municipality is rich in nature. But the geographically largest local authority in Denmark wishes to be even better at utilise its natural potential. “Naturens Rige” (Land of Nature) is a costal municipality and one of the biggest tourist destinations in the country.
The municipality wishes to retain and attract new tourists, and so Plan Strategy 2015 is focused on creating growth via utilising the municipality’s strong potential. And nature is one of the strongest growth resources available to the municipality. Tourism and nature combine to encompass a significant potential for story-telling, but what stories should be promoted? How does one utilise architecturally strong landmarks to enhance the story and how do we do this while still respecting nature? This and much else is what we would like to invite you to explore and expand on during a conversation salon*.
A conversation salon is a professional pot-luck of conversations that surprise and move us and that may create business opportunities across boundaries – for prime movers, urban developers, researchers, business people, and architects. We ask the questions, you control the conversation.
The evening’s themes are Nature and Tourism, and you will be met with conversation topics such as: How do buildings tell a story? How do architecture and nature co-exist? No preparation or prior knowledge is required for participation. All you need is a desire to meet new people and to talk with them on the basis of your own professional background, attitudes, and ideas.
