Exhibited at Dokk1 in Aarhus from 9. february – 11. marts 2018. 

Future Living is a national and international travelling exhibition, developed as part of Aarhus as the European Capital of Culture in 2017. The exhibition is curated by the Danish cluster The Architecture Project and developed in collaboration with The Danish Royal Embassy in Germany and the Danish Cultural Institute in Poland.

With Future Living we want to describe the challenges we are facing and explore new opportunities for sustainable development of our future – in Central Denmark Region and throughout Europe.

The exhibition directly addresses several of the UN’s 17 global goals for sustainable development, where urbanization, climate and welfare are identified as some of the major global challenges.

Through in-depth insights in specific projects this exhibition shows how cities and rural areas are rethinked today to solve challenges of tomorrow.

The exhibition highlights and acknowledges city development and architectural projects from different parts of Region Midtjylland. The projects will within the themes of sustainable cities & communities, welfare and education and climate change adaption give examples on how we can rethink the future and contribute to a sustainable development of our society.
