Selected studios from Aarhus exhibited their projects in Germany, attracting a large number of visitors. The exhibition will travel on to Hamburg in April 2015.
More than 8,000 people found their way to the travelling exhibition’s first stop: The joint Nordic embassies in Berlin, where the exhibition was open to the public between November 22nd 2013 and January 6th 2014. Afterwards, the exhibition travelled on to Bremen.
Exemplary Urban Development
The overall theme of the exhibition was Aarhus, and the holistic urban development that characterizes the city. It focused on projects that have created and will create the city of the future.
The exhibition – and the promotional and corporate events in its wake – aimed at creating international exposure for Aarhus. Ms Carina Serritzlew, Director of The Architecture Project and responsible for the exhibition, states:
“We aim to ensure that the urban development in Aarhus receives international attention. Under the heading of CREATE WITH aarhUS, the qualities and skills that thrive in Aarhus, in terms of architecture and architects, are highlighted. The business potential is strengthened through partnerships between companies and public actors in Denmark and Germany.”
